Sheds of Hope in the Smoky Mountains

MNA Disaster Response recently responded to assist Evergreen Church in Sevierville, TN as they ministered to their neighbors in the Wears Valley who were impacted by wildfires. Churches from Tennessee and Georgia built three Sheds of Hope in the Wears Valley community on Saturday, April 16, 2022.

Wears Valley is the home of MNA Disaster Response Logistics Specialist Marty Huddleston; Marty and his wife Beth are members of Evergreen Church.

Three shed kits, built by Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church in Eatonton, GA, were deployed from the Rome warehouse, along with a Sheds of Hope deployment trailer, which contains all the tools needed to construct sheds on site. Logistics Specialist Marty Huddleston, along with a team of strong men, delivered the shed kits through winding mountain-side dirt roads. Warehouse manager and TAG Region Specialist, Mike Kennamer and Florida Regional Specialist Keith Perry led the shed builds.
